2012 brings with it good news!
So the nice guys over at Cold Fusion Media have published one of my short stories in their new anthology, Arcane !

My contribution, called We Belong to Her is the first story in the anthology, which is high praise indeed, and a lot of pressure! Anyway, We Belong to Her details a young couple’s escape from post-revolution Cuba, and the horrifying orphan who latches on to them. I spent far too much time researching for this story, but it paid off; being called a ‘great opener’ and a ‘pitch perfect feel of being in a historical moment’.
Nathan Shumate (editor) over at Cold Fusion Media makes some classy books, having also put out the very professional looking Arcane Anthology: Penny Dreadfuls, AKA the Arcane Sampler. He’s got a great taste for quality, which makes me doubly proud, and feeling quite lucky, to be included among such awesome talent.
Considering just how much content is in it, Arcane is certainly worth the price of admission!

News to me, too. Apparently they can put things on sale without you knowing about it.Of course, the Smashwords price has always been 1.99, but Amazon’s marketplace wouldn’t let me set the price that low. Probably so they could do sales like this. Clever, Amazon, very clever.
Anyway, get your fix of over-the-top fantasy action, witty dialog, and less-than-stellar copy-editing!
